Joshua C. Nelson grew up in Indiana, but moved to the Northeast for his undergraduate education. Afterwards, he travelled West to work in Colorado as a protein biochemist. After several years, he decided to attend law school and became a member of the Colorado Bar in 2004 following his graduation from the University of Colorado, School of Law. He began his legal career as a Deputy District Attorney in Colorado, but he and his new wife decided to leave the mountains of Colorado for Central Florida. He sat for the Florida Bar exam on their honeymoon, and then immediately began the process of moving back to her hometown in Lakeland, FL where he joined the firm in 2005.
Mr. Nelson passed that bar exam and immediately focused his career on representing injured workers. He became Board Certified in Workers' Compensation Law in 2011. To this day, Mr. Nelson maintains an active practice helping injured workers receive the benefits they are due and enjoys assisting them in their recovery from injury and the disruption to their lives. Now with three growing children, he and his wife enjoy Florida very much – but he does miss the snow.
