Warning: Nurse case managers are not looking out for your best interests

If you have been involved in a work-related accident and the insurance carrier has authorized medical care, you may have experienced a nurse case manager getting involved in your medical care. These nurse managers will show up unannounced to your appointments with your doctors. They will try to sit in on your private doctor evaluations and they will talk to your treating medical providers outside your presence.

You need to know your rights.

Please know that you have the right to say they cannot come into your appointments. You do not have to change your doctor appointments to accommodate their scheduling needs. While you may not be able to prevent them from speaking with your doctor, you certainly have a right to know what was discussed and should have an advocate in your corner protecting you from these overly aggressive “nurses” who think they know what is in your best interests.

Call 863-355-3274 to know your rights and be protected.
